Olivier Martin

Sociologist and statistician, Olivier Martin is a professor in the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the University of Paris Descartes. He is a researcher at the Research Centre for Social Links (Cerlis, CNRS, University Paris Descartes, www.cerlis.fr) and head of the Doctoral School.
He is the author or co-author of Mind measure (1997), Sociology of Sciences (2000), The Investigation and its methods: Quantitative data analysis (2005), Knowledge and scholars (2005), New manual of sociology (2010), Temptation of the body (2010). His research work has led him to question the modern individuals' identities, when they are placed in rich technical and scientific environments while experiencing individualization processes. Most of his work is related to sociology of the contemporary individual, which question what an individual is today.


Elsa Ramos

Sociologist, Elsa Ramos is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the University of Paris Descartes. She is also a member of the Research Centre for Social Links (Cerlis, CNRS, University Paris Descartes, www.cerlis.fr). Her work explores the question of identities, especially at teenage and in the family environment.
She is the author of Remaining a child, becoming an adult. Students living at their parents' home (2002) and Invention of origins (2006).
